Water heater safety unit

(VT.461.NC) VT.461 water heater safety unit allows the user to protect himself and his house against serious accidents caused by domestic water heaters failures.

The unit consists of a nickel-plated brass body containing a ball valve with a brass shutter, a spring back-flow valve and a high-capacity safety valve for water and water vapor.

The back-flow valve prevents the heated and expanding water from entering the cold water line, while the safety valve protects the water heater against pressure boost.

The swivel plastic drain off nozzle with a jet break device can be connected to the sewage system by means of a sewage pipe or a hose with a 1" coupling nut.

The safety valve of the safety group is equipped with a forced opening device which makes it possible to open the valve for water drainage from the boiler, operation checkout and prevention of spool sticking.

The valve also has a 1/4" plugged hole which can be used for pressure gauge connection.

The safety unit can be installed both vertically and horizontally. It is recommended to use a hydraulic hitch for connection to the sewage system.
