VALTEC Compact ball valves

Often expensive shut off valves that offer long life through high cycle capabilities are installed for utility systems which do not require such characteristics and the valves are not used frequently (e.g.: a building’s water supply system equipped with drain cocks). Let’s count how many years it will take for VALTEC Base ball valve to become used up (when mean operating time between failures is 55,000 cycles) if it is switched at least 20 times a year, and then let’s decide on feasibility of its usage in this case. One scenario is when two or three such ball valves are installed in a few single houses. And the other - when it comes to large scale construction projects.

In order for our clients’ to not overspend VALTEC offers ball valves of a "light" type - VALTEC Compact. They are similar to VALTEC BASE as we used identical type of brass, teflon and technology concepts (diamond polish of a flow ball and stem, and etc.). The difference is that stuffing box is fixed, EPDM is used for stem sealing and bore is standard but not full. Minimum cycle life - 4,000.
